I love love love nail polish. I decided to spoil myself with some Chanel polishes. The Black Pearl polish is the first one I put on and I love it. Its like a gun metal color, thats very in right now. It kinda looks green but thats just the pearlised black looks. The application is easy, the pay off is great, and its worth investing money in them. The ones i purchased are

Black Pearl 513 ( that i have one)
Paradoxal 509
Vendetta 483

They are very pricey but If you invest in the right colors they will last.

*I will be posting pictures up of the other colors once I change Black Pearl ( which will probably be soon because I want to try them out =)

Make Up For Ever

So this is the new foundation I am trying out, its about a week and so far so good! Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+ (I am number 30) oil free and water resistant. I love it! The coverage is amazing! It looks natural and blends right into my skin. It gives me a flawless look without looking to done. I also set this foundation with a mineralized skin finish by Mac. This is how it looks..

Just in case bag

Better safe than sorry. Every woman should have a "just in case bag" in her purse. You never know what life is going to throw at you. This is what I have in my "just in case bag". What do you have in yours?

  • Hand sanitizer... A Must!
  • Lint roller thing
  • Bandaids
  • Midol
  • toothpicks
  • alcohol swab
  • nail file

Eyebrow Gel?

Brow Gel is a tube like mascara that has a clear gel inside. When you run it through your brows it invisibly grooms them and holds them in place. The clear brow gel looks good on every brow color, holds it in place & the tube will last you forever. You might not need this extra step in your makeup routine but some brows need it more than others. You can also just use clear mascara that they sell at drug stores. The one I use is the Mac one.

Eye shadow base

Its always good to put abase on your eye lids before you apply your eye shadow. The base preps the eye for putting eye shadow on to make it last long, make the colors look brighter and prevent the eye shadow from creasing.

My top picks for eye primers:

  • Urban Decay Primer Potion (green one)
  • Two Faced Shadow Insurance (purple one its a travel size cant find my big one)
  • Mac paint pots ( come in all different colors)

Cold weather has you feeling dry?

This cold weather is driving my skin insane! These are some things I use to help moisturize my skin in the winter time...

  • Aveeno active naturals Daily moisturizing lotion. I like to use this all over. I love it because its fragrance free. I hate the smelly ones because I feel like they interfere with my perfume. This is very moisturizing and it's not greasy. Leaves my hands and skin feeling very soft! I use this all day long when I feel my hands getting dry.

  • Gold Bond body lotion Triple Action Relief for extra dry & itchy skin. My feet get very very dry in the winter time and I put this stuff only on my feet. It smells bad but after its dry my feet and toes look like they were never cracked up. It has aloe & vitamin E that helps sooth and cool the dryness. If you can get past the smell it works!

  • Aquaphor healing ointment. This is for dry cracked irritated skin it says. I only use this around my knuckles and cuticle area. I also only use this when I know I wont have to touch anything or I can put little gloves on to keep the moisture locked in. Its very greasy and not easy to work with because it doesn't dry so fast, BUT, it really does work I see a difference in my cuticles and knuckles.

  • For my lips I love my Carmex or my EOS ball (I did a blog post on those you can check them out down below). These keep my lips very moisturized and I never have to worry about cracked lips in the winter.

  • Rare Minerals purely nourishing facial moisturizer. This is my favorite and first face moisturizer I have used and I love it and will stick with it for a while. It leaves my face feeling soft and not greasy. I have seen a difference in my skin it does look more healthy with this.

So those are just a few things I use in this cold weather to help keep my skin fresh, soft, and moisturized!

Went on a little shopping trip today and this is what I picked up....

  • Of course I had to use these both as soon as I left the store... Viva Glam II lipstick & Viva Glam V lipgloss. Its just  a very light nudey brown lipstick & the gloss is the same so they are perfect for each other <3
  • Origins Vitazing SPF15. It's an energy-boosting moisturizer with Mangosteen. It says on the box it magically transforms, protects and perfect to create even flawless skin. When I tested it at the store it did seem to have some sort of tint to it but the product is white so I am excited to try this out!
  • The white sample is also from Origins. Its called Youthopia and it is an eye cream. I didn't want to buy this because I have a hard time finding eye creams so I got a sample to try to see if I like it to purchase. It claims to reduce puffiness and help empower fragile eye skin to rebound from damaging stress. Also make your skin area firmer and more youthful with no potential wrinkles.
  • Nars Orgasm Illuminator was a free gift from Sephora. I am a Sephora VIB which means I spend way to much money in that store lol. It's a great highlighter to put all over your face or just at the high point likes your cheek bones nose and cupids bow.
  • Make Up Forever Mat Velvet + foundation. I am very excited to try this foundation. I have very oily skin so I am excited to see if this foundation really does matifie my skin. Its also full coverage.
  • The sample I got is also Make Up Forever but a concealer. It is the Full Coverage Concealer. I was a little iffy about this product because it is so thick and it wasn't easy to work with when I tried it at the store so I got a sample to try out.

Nail polish love

If you cant already tell I love to paint my nails. Here is what I have done tonight out of boredom.

Sephora by OPI
Nonfat Soy Half Caff

My ring finger is Revlon Belle

Wet n Wild

Went to Target the other day and found these great Wet n Wild pallets for $4. I figured hey 3 bucks lets me try this out. I am in love... I have been playing around and doing looks with these pallets ever since. All the colors are very pigmented and very easy to blend. These are the swatches for you guys to see...

LUST this is a nice holiday pallet

Vanity. Good neutral everyday pallet

Quick tip!

Love lining your eyes but hate when your eyeliner smudges and you look like a drunk girl who partied way to hard? Well, a simple way to fix that is after you line your eyes with your favorite color eye liner just go right over that eye liner with the same color eye shadow. The shadow you put over your cream or gel liner will be set in place! Now you can look cute and not like ke$ha!

Have 7 seconds?

So I have extremely oily hair. SUCKS THE BIG ONE! I usually have to wash my hair every day to look like a normal person and not one who hasn't washed their hair in about 7 weeks... yes 7 weeks! So my wonderful bf (who is a hair stylist) introduced me to this wonderful dry shampoo.  Unite Eurotherapy 7seconds Dry Shampoo. Now I have tried other dry shampoo products and they either leave my hair looking white, no volume, and just not feeling clean just a little less oily. This 7seconds of heaven gives my hair volume, makes it feel fresh, and clean! One thing I love is there is a small little ball when you shake it (not sure what its called) and thats why you don't get that white stuff just all over your hair & I love the smell. I know you can  get this from the Unite website (, and while you are on the website check the salons in your area that sell this product. I got mine from C3 salon!

Sparkle-licious by OPI was inspired by the movie Burlesque. It's just beautiful glitter. It looks like you dipped your finger in confetti. Perfect for the holidays! I love glitter so I would wear it all year around.

Long Live Lashes!

I love mascara! Even if I don't have any makeup on I NEED NEED NEED, to have mascara on. Its just classic and gives your eyes a more open and beautiful look!

Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash. This is my #1 mascara. I LOVE this mascara. I have three backups lol. It gives amazing volume and defiantly gives length to your lashes. I love it in Extra Black.

Loreal Voluminous Million Lashes. After viewing the Eva Longoria commercial I was excited to try this with the hopes i'd have the look of a million lashes. I should have know they put falsies on her lol. First it's not a true black mascara it looks grey on the brush,I have a thing for true black mascara's. Second it made me look like i had few lashes. It does give length but not volume at all. I don't think I like it but thats my opinion. The one thing I love is that it clicks closed and its great because it won't dry out for sure, I wish all mascaras had that.

Cover Girl Lash Blast Fusion. I love this mascara for just an everyday mascara. Its nothing dramatic and nothing so spectacular but it just makes your lashes look nice. It does give some volume, not as much length. It's one of my number one choices for a drug store mascara.
