Hunt for Flats....

So I am always on the hunt for new flats. I am the worst when it comes to shoes in general. I love my sneakers, flip flops, and Uggs.

Now I wish I can wear these sexy 5inch Christian Louboutin...

But regardless lets talk about flats...
I have my eye on these beautiful Snake Print Caroline Ballet Flats by Tory Burch...
These go for $225. Now I honestly wouldn't mind spending the money on these because the back looks like it wouldn't leave that scare from walking and rubbing on your skin.

Now the original Tory Burch look like they would hurt me...
These are the classic Reva ballet flats ($195).

Now Mossimo that is sold at Target has very very very comfortable flats, and cute.
Now I have these and I only paid $12.58 lol. I run from flats to flats with in three months so thats why I always think twice about buying expensive shoes.

I just ordered these cute flats also from Target and also by Mossimo
They are $9.00. I liked that they are purple and have the flower details. I wear a lot of black so the purple will give an outfit a good pop of color.

What kind of flats do you wear? Where do you get them from? What brand are they? HELP ME OUT! hehe

Shatter obsession

So after my last post about the Shatter I decided I am a little Shatter crazed lol.
I am getting the hang of using the Shatter polish.
Under the Katy Perry Shatter I have
China Glaze For Audry polish
Its a beautiful Tiffany box color.

BACK TO MAC PROGRAM...

"Back to Mac" is a recycling program. You can take 6 empty used up products or containers to a Mac counter for a lipstick, or a Mac store of a lipglass, lipstick, or eye shadow. The whole idea is to recycle more instead of throwing out your used up makeup. The program exclude viva glam products because they are for charity. You can only "Back to Mac," Mac products. You cant take back your back to Mac products. Like if you get a lipstick from recycling other products you cant take that lipstick back. Get it? They scribble on the bottom of your back to Mac products so they know. THEY KNOW!!!!!

What counts for back to mac is basically anything with plastic.. DUHH YOU'RE RECYCLING!
This includes: eye shadows, foundations, lipsticks, lipglosses, fix+, Mac wipes, and mechanical eye pencils.
They don't take back Kohl eye liners because they have wood base to them so thats a NO NO.

You can "back to Mac" more than 6 products at a time. I usually save my sets of 6 products and take them back when I accumulate a lot so I can get a bunch of eye shadows.
Here is what I got...

TEXTURE velvet
A good transition color. It's a peachy brown tone color. Very pretty. Many makeup artist use this to blend out colors between shadows.

PATINA frost
This is a goldy bronze. I love this color. It is so nice all over the lid of your eye.
Defiantly my favorite Mac shadow and I don't know why I never owned this.

FOLIE satin
A very deep reddish brown. Beautiful for a crease color.

Hope this "Back to Mac"/mini haul helped you guys!

learned the Shatter

Okay so I kinda got this shatter polish down. I was playing with it and realized that it's not like a polish. You have to put the thinnest layer of polish on top of the coat you already have on. The thinner the coat the better the crackle. It comes out with a matte so you must put a top coat on to seal and lock and glossify your polish.
Its a cute rocker look, it looks messy but thats the point (I think).
Have any of you tried this? I know other brands are coming out with the shatter affect polish also. What are your tips and tricks for applying?

Makeup Brushes @ a craft store?

YES! Makeup brushes are sold at Michaels Crafts! Well, not real makeup brushes, but I found great brushes that painters use that are great quality and super soft.

Loew-Cornell 270 Maxine's Mop

My opinion is that they are all Mac/Sigma comparable for no more than $8

This big one was the most "expensive" $8 something (Can't find my receipt sorry).
This brush is so soft. I find it perfect for applying highlight to my cheek bones.
It's the 3/4 Loew-Cornell 270 Maxine's Mop

This brush was approximately $4 something. Again so soft, and great for getting the color onto the bristles. This is comparable to Mac's 277 brush ($30). I use it to apply highlight to my brow bone.
1/2 Loew-Cornell 270 Maxine's Mop

This one was about $3. This is great to apply any color on the lid. Very soft, cant say that enough about these brushes. It's a great dupe for the Mac 239 ($24.50).
3/8 Loew-Cornell 270 Maxine's Mop

This is the smallest and my most favorite. This was also about $3. I use it under my eye for my lower lash line. It puts the perfect amount of color to smudge out. This one reminds me of the Mac 219 pencil brush, even if the shape is different it's the same concept ($24.50).
1/4 Loew-Cornell 270 Maxine's Mop

I apologize again for not having the exact pricing but they are all under $10! Thats a steal and for good brushes.

Fiji

Some of Essie's pinks are very sheer and you have to layer them to actually see the shade of pink. Not Fiji.  Only two coats makes it look amazing. Its a pale pink. makes your nails look longer and just makes your manicure look very nice and put together!

I am loving the look of a pale pink at the moment.
