So this weekend I wanted to go with a nice baby pink to end off the summer. I am excited to start using darker nail polishes for fall/winter.

I always have a hard time painting my nails a light color as you can tell, because my cuticles are well retarded. They are very dry and brittle and I can never clean the light color around the cuticle the right way, but anywhoooooooo......

Butter London- Teddy Girl

Butter London polishes are a bit pricey. They go for about $14.

They can be found at Ulta.

The quality is very good and doesn't streak as it is applied. 

The brush is easy to work with.

Nabi NOTD

I don't know about you guys but I have never heard of Nabi cosmetics before.

I actually found this brand In the streets of  NYC. There was a man selling them for 2 bucks so of course I jumped on it. This is the color I have had on my nails for about a week and the quality is great! Has not chipped yet, applies beautifully, & so opaque in one coat.

They do have a website you can visit if you want to purchase any color or makeup items they have. I have not tried the makeup just the polish. WWW.NABICOSMETIC.COM

Shellac? What the heck?

So I have been hearing about this Shellac for a while now. The good and the bad. Honestly only the bad, but hey I wanted to try it for myself.
At my nail salon they do OPI Shellac.
This is basically a no chip manicure. No fake nails applied just your actually nail manicure with a twist.
On average this no chip Shellac will last for about two weeks.
My salon did have a good  range of OPI polishes to choose from.
It was $25.
The process was a bit more "dramatic" than a regular nail polish.

I did a french manicure for a bit of a change. 

I am really loving it but this is just a few hours into the manicure. I am always using my hands for something and my polish usually chips after the second or third day. 

I will post pictures and keep you guys updated to actually see if this last two weeks.

• My nails were painted similar to a regular manicure
• One at a time my nails were placed under a UV light "baked" as I say
• The UV light dries the polish instantly NO DRYING! YAY! (BEST PART)
• The process of keeping it under the UV light took about 10 minutes then I was out the door

I love Sally Hansen's complete salon manicure line because it is so convenient. There are 5 steps in one bottle...

Base coat, strengthener, growth treatment, color & top coat. 

Yellow Kitty is the perfect spring/summer color. It's a great yellow and perfect for color blocking. Which means its just a brave color to add to your finger nails to spice up other accessories. 

Shatter obsession

So after my last post about the Shatter I decided I am a little Shatter crazed lol.

I am getting the hang of using the Shatter polish.

Under the Katy Perry Shatter I have 

China Glaze For Audry polish 

Its a beautiful Tiffany box color.

learned the Shatter

Okay so I kinda got this shatter polish down. I was playing with it and realized that it's not like a polish. You have to put the thinnest layer of polish on top of the coat you already have on. The thinner the coat the better the crackle. It comes out with a matte so you must put a top coat on to seal and lock and glossify your polish. 

Its a cute rocker look, it looks messy but thats the point (I think).

Have any of you tried this? I know other brands are coming out with the shatter affect polish also. What are your tips and tricks for applying?

Fiji

Some of Essie's pinks are very sheer and you have to layer them to actually see the shade of pink. Not Fiji.  Only two coats makes it look amazing. Its a pale pink. makes your nails look longer and just makes your manicure look very nice and put together!

I am loving the look of a pale pink at the moment.
