Shellac? What the heck?

So I have been hearing about this Shellac for a while now. The good and the bad. Honestly only the bad, but hey I wanted to try it for myself.
At my nail salon they do OPI Shellac.
This is basically a no chip manicure. No fake nails applied just your actually nail manicure with a twist.
On average this no chip Shellac will last for about two weeks.
My salon did have a good  range of OPI polishes to choose from.
It was $25.
The process was a bit more "dramatic" than a regular nail polish.

I did a french manicure for a bit of a change. 

I am really loving it but this is just a few hours into the manicure. I am always using my hands for something and my polish usually chips after the second or third day. 

I will post pictures and keep you guys updated to actually see if this last two weeks.

• My nails were painted similar to a regular manicure
• One at a time my nails were placed under a UV light "baked" as I say
• The UV light dries the polish instantly NO DRYING! YAY! (BEST PART)
• The process of keeping it under the UV light took about 10 minutes then I was out the door 

Tinted moisturizer

Battle of the tinted moisturizers. I have tried many many tinted moisturizers and the many many that I have tried broke me out. I went into Sephora with the intention to try a Tarte tinted moisturizer. I asked a worker if the Tarte one was good for oily skin and her answer was yes. She asked me if she can show me some other things so I said sure why not.
She showed me the Sephora brand tinted moisturizer with FPS 20 and oil free.
Its $22.
It doesn't feel greasy when you put it on. It blends with your skin perfectly.
It doesn't have much coverage but I always set it with MAC's MSF.
I love that it has a pump because you don't waste products.
The staying power to this even if there isn't a lot of coverage is defiantly more than 8 hours.
Best part of this is it did not break me out! YAY!
My color is Medium 26 Peach.

Tinted moisturizers are great for the summer. They even out your skin tone without feeling like you are packing on tones of makeup in the heat. I sweat a lot and I hate wearing making in the summer but I know I need some sort of coverage. This is why I love tinted moisturizers and I found this one just in time!

Laura Mercier foundation

So I don't have perfect skin. I have acne scares and very oily skin. I am constantly look for a new foundation for full coverage and to help control my oil.
I have been using the Laura Mercier silk cream foundation for about a month now.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this foundation!
It looks like your skin but with full coverage. It doesn't come out cakey at all.
I have been using it every day since I purchased it and It has not broken me out. It does control my oil and give me the best coverage. It evens out my skin tone, redness, and covers up my nasty blemishes. It is also very light weight when you apply it, you can still feel your skin breathing.
The best part is it still looks like my skin!

This foundation can be found at Sephora and most department stores. It is a bit pricey, goes for $42 but  is well worth the money.

My color is Beige Ivory. I also like to set this foundation with my Mac Mineralized skin finish in natural.

Lipstick or Cream blush?

Want to try a cream blush? Why go out and buy when you already have it in your collection. Using lipstick as a blush is an old fashion way to apply it. It doesnt matter what lipstick you are using but it does save you money and space!
I use the lipstick directly out of the tube.
When you blend a lipstick that is waxy it melts into your skin rather than sitting on top of of your skin like a powder blush.
Best part is you can buy as many lipsticks in so many different shades and use them as a cheek color and lip color!

I like to put a blob of the lipstick on the back of my hand, then take my middle and index finger and just blend it into my skin. 

My favorite one to use is Covergirl lipstick in Delish. It gives your cheeks the perfect flesh of color. Just gives you that perfect peachy cheek!

YELLOW KITTY 

I love Sally Hansen's complete salon manicure line because it is so convenient. There are 5 steps in one bottle...

Base coat, strengthener, growth treatment, color & top coat. 

Yellow Kitty is the perfect spring/summer color. It's a great yellow and perfect for color blocking. Which means its just a brave color to add to your finger nails to spice up other accessories.

Salon Effects update...

So I had the Sally Hansen Salon Effects on for four days and this was my outcome....

Day 1

Day 3 (chipping on the thumb)

Day 4 (thumb is almost off)

So on the 5th day I took them off. I removed them with nail polish remover. These over all are nice! I like them I would re-purches them again.I did put a top coat after I finishes applying these. I also bought Check it Out and put them on today....

Salon Effects

I am in total shock!
I went to my CVS and saw all Sally Hansen products were buy one get one 50% off. I always wanted to try these Salon Effects but honesty thought I can dish out the $10.49 for a cute blush rather than some stickers for my nails. WRONG! I bought these and another pair and I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE!

They are so easy to apply they took me about 10 minutes. No instructions needed (although they come with it). It is idiot proof I promise!
As soon as I opened the packaging it smelled just like nail polish.
Before applying I just took a cotton swab and some nail remover and just cleaned my nails surface.
After that the rest is beautiful magic! lol.

I am defiantly buying more!
